Kushite Kings on the Upper Nile: Pyramids, Royal Statues and a Temple to Amun – Dr Julie Anderson

This was a really interesting lecture on behalf of The Egypt Society of Bristol, and given by Dr Julie Anderson who has been working in ancient Nubia (modern-day Sudan) for around 20 years.  She gave a detailed and fascinating first-hand account of what their work over the past two decades at this 1st Century B.C.E site had revealed.

As always it was really great to get a first-hand account of archaeological excavations – and accompanied with many detailed photographs.

It was an enjoyable and very informative lecture and well-worth attending.
